Log out and get logged in at Cabin on the 9, a teeny gem for two just under an hour outside of Toronto. With a private pond for skating or swimming, an A-frame loft bedroom, an unobstructed view of the stars, and a wood stove for chilly nights, this custom-built log cabin is pure magic no matter the season.
Hovering between $100 and $150 per night depending on when you book, it's an ideal rental for a couple's retreat (especially if you're a dog owner—Cabin on the 9 is pet friendly) or a girlfriends' getaway for two. Go for a morning hike on the 15-acre property, BYO swan for a float on the water in the afternoon, and cozy up with a blanket and a book in front on the deck in the evening. Sound idyllic? It totally is.
Heads up: the cabin is super rustic and doesn't have running water, but the Airbnb owners have a Victorian house nearby guests are invited to use for washroom and kitchen facilities, if they so desire. Or, go the glamping route and use the opportunity to disconnect (bring your phone though, you're going to want photo evidence of this place).
